The fool-proof way to find the precise replacement movement for your grandmother, grandfather, wall or mantle clock is to answer "The Big Four."
The Howard Miller Clock Company was founded in 1926 by Howard Miller himself at the age of 21. Howard was educated in the fine art of clockmaking by his father, Herman, in the Black Forest Region of Germany. With the birth of his company, Howard Miller began a tradition of excellence that has been uncompromised for generations. The company was established to manufacture the finest in chiming wall and mantle clocks. However, in 1960, the company turned its attention to grandfather clocks, eventually earning the title "World's Largest Grandfather Clock Manufacturer."
The cabinetry work of a Howard Miller clock is second to none; the craftsmanship unmistakable. Each case is sanded a minimum of four times during construction - the final two times completely by hand. No two clocks are identical. Each piece of wood has a character all its own, giving a unique personality to each clock.
